I’m Anne Musial, chief development officer at The 19th. I lead our development efforts, which is all about building relationships with people and organizations who want to support our work. I love that I get to share the heart of what we do, learn what resonates with others and find ways to bring them into our mission — whether that’s through funding or simply staying connected.
I’ve spent the last two decades focused on helping mission-driven organizations and changemakers find the resources they need to thrive. Before joining The 19th, I worked as a nonprofit and political consultant in both Austin and Los Angeles, advising nonprofits and elected officials at the local, state and national levels on fundraising and communication strategies.
I grew up in the Phoenix area and earned my BA in Communication from the University of Arizona. Bear Down! These days, I enjoy four seasons in Colorado with my husband, our daughter, a goofy dog and an aloof cat.
My work is free to consume and free to republish because of contributions from readers like you. A donation of $19 goes a long way toward sustaining our nonprofit newsroom.
