Andrea Atehortua

I’m Andrea Atehortua, product operations manager at The 19th. I’m constantly finding opportunities to improve the way the product and technology team works, supporting experimentation, improving communication, and ensuring we are regularly delivering new products and features to our readers.

I came to The 19th with 10 years of experience in product management from various industries such as SaaS, eCommerce, and recruitment tech. I’ve helped startups grow from seed to Series B and supported product and technology teams as they grew from three to 20+ people. Prior to my experience in tech, I worked with social entrepreneurs, in impact investing and even took a detour to do constituent services for the governor of Massachusetts. I’m a graduate of Boston University.

When I’m not absconding to the woods to escape the chaos of NYC, you can find me watching Formula 1 or Liverpool matches at home with my cats, Juan Gabriel and Rocio. I’m currently working toward visiting most national parks in the United States and Canada.
