I’m Wynton Wong, multimedia producer at The 19th. I work on a variety of audio and video projects, including The Amendment podcast, as well as our events, making sure that things are looking and sounding good in the room and in our recordings.
In my professional life, I have worn a lot of different hats — writing, directing, producing, editing and programming — and have worked in every department at least once. (Shout out to art department for being underappreciated!) I currently focus on directing and producing, as well as consulting, programming and organizing events and film festivals. I’ve worked in a variety of storytelling spaces, from traditional film and TV to digital and interactive. I’ve previously worked at Universal Cable Productions, It Gets Better Project, Tribeca Film Festival, the Asian American International Film Festival, The Outline and The Markup.
I love working on teams, working with talented storytellers and reporters, and the intersection of storytelling and community. I’m a proud Tar Heel and Hong Konger, spend too much time on YouTube, and will eat any type of curry any day of the week.
